Dr. Evy Espinoza
Clinical Psychologist
Infant-Family Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist.
I’m passionate about assisting Caregivers connect, understand, and meet their Children’s needs. I have helped Caregivers who have concerns about their Child’s development, academic performance, difficulties adjusting to changes, struggling with effectively expressing emotions, experience/witnessing traumatic events, and/or behavioral concerns.
I’ve supported Caregivers going through divorce, foster/adoption, and engaged with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). I have provided services across multiple settings: Home-Based, Field-Based, School-Based, and Traditional Outpatient.
While my specialty is Pediatric Behavioral Health, ages Birth to Five, I also provide mental health services for older Children, adolescents, and adults.
Aside from assisting families, I train mental health clinicians wanting to expand their knowledge in Birth to Five mental health services, especially assessments. I am a Zero To Three, a national organization, Certified DC: 0-5 Trainer in Los Angeles County and I am endorsed by the California Center for Infant-Family and Early Childhood Mental Health as a Specialist. I am a member of the California Association for Infant Mental Health (Cal-AIMH) and the Infant Development Association of California (IDA-California).
I am a graduate of the UC Davis Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Program, where I received direct training from Infant Mental Health Luminaires, such as Dr. Kristie Brandt, Dr. Bruce Perry, Dr. Kevin Nugent, Dr. Barbara Stroud, Dr. Connie Lillas, Dr. Serena Wieder and Dr. John Hornstein. Under the Napa Program, I was trained on Dr. T Berry Brazelton’s Touchpoints, Parent-Child Interaction Feeding Scales (formerly NCAST), Newborn Behavior Observation, and Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics.
